Have Yourself A Very Banger Christmas

Hope you all have a great holiday.  I hope you all get what you wanted, gave what you should have, and are thankful for all of it.  I will be shutting down for a few days until the new year, so I leave you with this awesome video and a few songs, some of which were previously posted, to enhance that christmas spirit!

See you in 2011~dB

dUSTIN tAVELLA!

dUSTIN tAVELLA.  He is like fucking Houdini with a video camera/ voice of an angel.  This kid produced this song and video himself.  Not to mention the song is wicked good and should be on the radio?  I am just flat out impressed on all levels.  Bruno Mars better watch his back.

After reviewing a few of his songs and videos I have decided this guy either needs a record deal or TV show cause he is a god damn character.

ALL ARE MUST DOWNLOADS!

Holiday Hook Up Playlist

In the spirit of Christmas and the holiday season I have decided to throw together a Holiday Hook Up Playlist.  Why a hook up playlist you may ask?  This is the season of New Years Kisses, another year with that special someone, and gifts that either make or break you... so I thought it would be only appropriate.  So give it a listen and heat up the mood with that special someone!

I will be putting all the songs into a zip file to download so as soon as I get that together I will post it!  Keep checking back~dB

Atypicals

Came across these guys the other day and fell in love with their sound.  Something about Indie rock fused with electro that just hits home.  It feels so right.  I have posted two songs, in order of my personal preference of course.  First one starts off slow but come the 1:16 mark you will be hooked to the beat. Second one, called "Stardust" also has an addictive beat and even more addictive chorus.  Good stuff to mellow out too, be sure to give them a listen.

UKF Release

Once again the iconic UKF Dubstep symbol brings the rain with their latest release.  A little different approach with this one but it still stands up to UKF standards.  Whomps are heavy and plentiful... BANGER status without question.

911

Excellent new song from Wale.  Beat starts out slow and by the end of the chorus you are just hooked.  Young Joc does his thing and Wale flows up legit everywhere.  Decently slow tempo to this one it took me a listen or two to fall in love so give it a chance

90's Finest

Although these two are Habs fans I have to support them.  White boy dubstep rappers are always okay in my book.  I posted some of their stuff a few days ago and it was straight fire.  This one is a cover of Magnetic Man and Katy B's massive track "Crossover".  I received an email from them earlier tonight saying we should expect a lot of positive moves coming from these guys.  If you like what you hear make sure to check back for all their updates and new songs!

Up and Comers

Some new stuff from guys you don't know of but should.  All pretty mellow tracks for you snowdayers out there in the Greater Boston Area.  Stay warm and enjoy.

That Kid C-G bringing this one to us off the Swellve Days of Xmas tape.  Not the best quality but unreal track.

Just to state, I LOVE this song.  Something about that chorus just sounds so good.  This is one of those songs that gets stuck in your head all day and you just cannot wait to go home and listen to it.  Love it.

The Xx remixed Florence and the Machine's You've Got the Love and then Theophilus London remixed The Xx's remix of Florence and the Machine's You've Got the Love.  Confused yet?

Young talent here, Guy Harrison goes in on a nice beat and puts the icing on the cake with a real slick chorus.  His smooth flow doesn't hurt either.

Leak of Chris Webby's upcoming mixtape Best In The Burbs.  Little harder then the rest of these songs but a real tune none the less.

White boy duo rappers Divine Rhyme on this next one.  These guys do not look like much but damn are they impressive.

Moosh & Twist back at it.  This is the rip off their new music video for their song "City Kids".  What a sample huh?

Underground L.A hip hip group People Under the Stairs bring a real old school feel to this one.  Mellow track to fade away to, give it a listen.

I Call Shotgun

I Call Shotgun is an indie group out of the UK.  I spied them on GMAD covering a Nelly song and so I did a little more research and found a few great songs by them.  With an almost electronic/indie/acoustic fusion style it really comes together for a sick sound.  They do pretty much everything, covering songs, making dance songs, rock songs, and even acoustic covers of their own songs.  Really feeling these guys, give them a listen.

My favorite song by them... the acoustic cover below is even better!

THIS IS HOW YOU DANCE TO DUBSTEP!

Wobblegirl just absolutely killing it.  I am not one of those people who sits there and LOLz and every online video but I was on the floor when I saw this.  Right when the drop comes she just fucking breaks it down I could not even stand it I had to look away.  At the 1:09 mark when she is jogging with the black dude and just busts out a fucking dubstep dougie I seriously got a fear boner.  This will be on repeat for rest of my life.

Scary Monsters and Nice Transformers

If you don't think this is EXACTLY what two Transformers would sound like either having an epic battle or having sex then your just not American.  The more I listen the more I am debating hitting up Mike Bay and demanding Skrillex make the Transformers 3 soundtrack.  I will let you know how that goes.

90's Finest

These guys remind me of a better Sam Adams mixed with a less better The Girls Can Hear Us!  I am really feeling their flow on these songs and they pic great jams to go in over.  Being one of the 90's finest myself, I have some major respect for the name.

They really do Strobe some justice on this re rub, I like it the best out of all that I have heard.  Second verse is excellent and the hook is gonna be stuck in my head for weeks.  I'm looking forward to it

A close second to TGCHU!'s verse over this beat, but I love the addition of the lady vocals it really brings together this track.  Little Sammay Adams on this one but I'm feelin it.

Again another excellent choice on the sample, using Nero's Recluse.  I could not be happier they didn't fuck this one up.  Nasty

Classic.

I Just Had Sex

I havent heard a song this good/vulgar since "I'm On A Boat".  In all seriousness thought this song is so unserious that it is seriously awesome.  How do they make such unreal songs and people on the radio who have been doing it for years make such shitty ones?

New Lonely Island.  Do yourself a favor and add this to your library.

Skrillex Throwback

I overlooked this song so bad when I first got hold of it.  Just thought it was some moderate song he put out.  Well soon enough I realized the tremendous mistake I made.  Possibly one of the best Skrillex songs I have ever come across, this guy literally makes a track out of nothing.  Sampling little tiny noise clips and scratches and throwing them all together to culminate into a creation of audible mastery.

1:22 marks the beginning of the end of the beginning of the middle of the best song Skrillex has ever made

New Hyper Crush Remix!

Boobs!

On a slightly more serious note this song is just straight up awesome.  I love when bands remix their own songs, it just makes me imagine them sitting at home listening to their ipod and all the sudden one of their songs comes on and they just think it sucks and could be so much better.  So they go to the kitchen and just totally rip it apart.  Usually this turns out for the better, especially when they toss in a little dubstep.

Take Over Heaven

dB fans should be familiar with Afrojack but Qunitino should be an unfamiliar name.  Known for lighting up rooms with his smiles and high energy tracks, Quintino is also a fan of the term banger!  FunX mashed up Afrojack's massive club track Take Over Control and Quintino's jam Heaven and make one killer tune.  Check it out

TONS of techno heaters and all other kinds of great stuff on the way.  Tis' the season to be busy,  I will get them uploaded and up there as soon as I can.  Keep checking back!-dB

New Collin McLoughlin/ Sam Adams

Bleh.

Let the Bass Cannon Kick It

The King himself, Flux Pavilion, has set a release date for his masterpiece Bass Cannon.  Anyone who knows anything about dubstep knows Flux drops the biggest drops, whomps the loudest whomps, and just fucking destroys any track he comes across.  Well a few months ago he started playing a new song at shows and it is simply amazing.  Watch the vid for a shitty preview, but if you think its good with that awful quality imagine how good its gonna be mastered...

March 14th, prepare to be Fluxed like you've never been Fluxed before. Save the date.

On of the comments on the video reads - "This is immense".  Another -"Lives will be lost when this one drops"

Well said boys

Black and Techno

This is so not what I was expecting DJ Kue to look like but whatever he makes the best remixes.

Taylor Gang or bump this song until your deaf?

Brit Spears sample= Eargasmz

Erik Paul and Britney Spears become one to make one massive tune.  Something about this track just hits you in all the right places.  Its like the feeling when you really have to pee and then you finally do and its just pure relief.  Such a calming feeling comes over you when that beat drops to the Toxic lyrics.  Erik Paul takes it from there and just crushes it.  After speaking to him tonight for a few minutes I inform you to all check back on the site for his stuff if you like what you hear below.  Erik told me he will be releasing songs every week over the next four weeks so check back!

BONUS

Check out this one by Erik Paul released a few weeks ago, using a sick sample from Meg and Dia's "Monsters".  With a mellow beat, nasty sampling and smooth flow by Erik, it comes together for a great jam

UKF Dubstep Back On It

Yes I am well aware that UKF Dubstep does not make these songs themselves, so why should they deserve credit?  They deserve credit because they bring the world the best dubstep there is, and puts it all under one name.  If you see that symbol on a song you know its a heater.  100% FACT.

Cutline destroys this one, similar to the Feed Me song I posted a few days back, it has a pretty awesome melody running through the whole song, not just a whole bunch of aimless whomps.  I beleive the cut back to that soft melody at the 2:34 mark is referred to as a "double time amen break".  I fucking love dubstep, it just shits epic all over the place.

Massive correction!

Posted last night about this monster of a track (Grind Remix ft. Olu) and made the claim that rapper Jody Duff was 15.  Duff is actually 17 years old, so I was not too far off but still impressive that such a young talent is doing well.  Check out his Facebook page, which you should all visit and like!

I was a bit throw by the bio on the page, which Jody's Dj, DJ JD, has informed me is not up to date.  One this is for sure though... this kid is a beast.  I have included the DL for the Grind Remix with Olu, the original Grind, and another one of Jody's tracks that I have been listening to the past few weeks.  Keep an eye out for this guy!

Jody Duff- SHIT

P.S- Thanks to Jody and DJ JD for giving us the shout on their FB page... let the dB nation grow!

Christmas DUB

This song just made my Christmas Eve playlist thats for damn sure.  Its just so dark and ominous that I cant help but think of Jack Skellington.  I bet my top dollar that Jack is a dubstep fan, and obviously he loves Christmas, so its like a perfect match.

New Jody Duff/ Olu

So Jody Duff is 15.  Olu is 18.  Makes me feel so old hearing these two eat this beat for breaffast.  When the original came out a few weeks ago I thought this song was so sick but now that Olu is on it its even better.  You can't beat a Nine Inch Nails sample in a rap song, just pure genius.  This song dropped about legitimately 5 minutes ago so be sure to pick it up!

STUDYBUDDY VOL. 1!

With most schools having their finals next week I figured I would throw together a little study playlist.  These songs are mostly mellow and thought provoking, allowing you to get your maximum studying in.  Hope it helps, and good luck!

Deadmau5 doe5 Manchester

Deadmau5 is on tour this month and had a show last night in Manchester, England.  I have many pictures compliments of Deadmau5's personal photographer, Rukes (Drew Ressler).  The show looked off the charts amazing and so did the Mau5cube as always.

Check out more pics at Drew's website, by clicking here

Afrojack & Zed vs Black Eyed Peas

With the Black Eyed Peas pumping out electro hits like you read about, it is only right that they are infused with some actual techno mastery. Both of these were officially released yestrday so enjoy.

Afrojack gives us his interpretation of Dirty Bit by Black Eyed Peas.  Its like he can see straight into my soul.  Beat starts cruisin in around the 55 second mark.

Zedd does it big on this one, giving a little more of a dubstep DnB feel than the Afrojack take.  More of a high energy song, rip the bass up with this one, expect some nice drops!

The Wild

I have know for these guys for about a month now but I scooped their new song off of FreshOnCampus last night and I can not stop listening.  With an indie/rock-rap style sort of reminds me of P.O.D but with a lot better lyricism.  Both of these songs are absolute tunes, perfect for chilling back or a sick song to throw on while your driving.  Check it out

All Things Skrillex

Sonny Moore, also known as Skrillex, is an American Electronic musician from Los Angeles, California.  This handsome bastard used to be the front man for a metal hardcore band called "From First To Last".  Well aren't we glad he switched sides huh?

I bring you All Things Skrillex because my dear friend DJ Minnie Mouse was lucky enough to see him live last night at Arizona State University. No wait, she was lucky enough to hear about how sick he was, she was too busy studying for finals.  Her PARTY CERTIFIED status is in contention for being revoked, but for the time being she decided to throw together a playlist for you noobs.  Playlist is on the side bar, and I included some videos below just so you all can see how weirdly awesome Sonny Moore and Skrillex really are.

Skrillex performing In For The Kill Remix live at Abstract Music Fesitival in September of this year.

Sonny Moore, not Skrillex, in his offical music video for the song Mora.  This dude must fucking LOVE drugs.

This video is pretty long and a little boring but its a Skrillex interview, its pretty cool listening to him talk about where he came from and where he is now, and some possible future colabs.  If you have a few minutes I highly suggest giving it a look.

Eyes On Fire

Could not be happier Erik Paul chose this song to sample.  Eyes On Fire is one of my favorite indie rock songs and has instant recognition with a lot of people.  Picked up the tempo a little bit and added a real nice beat in the back, makes for a great tune.

Erik Paul ft. Blue Foundation- Letters To The Rap Game

BONUS

For you dubstep fans, below in the DL link to the Zeds Dead Remix of the original Eyes On Fire by Blue Foundation.  Dub fire!

Blue Foundation- Eyes On Fire (ZedsDeadRemix)

Jingle Bell Rap

Nothing like a little rap and naked girls to get in the Christmas spirit.  My favorite rap group right now Eddy B and Tim Gunter bring the rain on this one.  Crushing a classic must give you such a feeling of accomplishment.

UKF Dubstep Release

So if you follow the site you know that UKF Dubstep releases the best of the best in the dubstep world.  This one was released today and it is, for lack of a better word, fucking amazing.  Feed Me is an artist that flies his flag under Deadmau5's new label Mau5trap.

Words cannot describe this one, 5 STARS, MUST DOWNLOAD.

BONUS

Here are two other older UKF Dubstep releases from about 2 months ago.  UKF only dishes straight fire.

Ma5h uP, Smash Up

Mike Posner and Deadmau5 have been two of the most influential figures in the music industry over the past two years.  With Posner's initial mixtape catapulting him to stardom and Deadmau5'5 creative genuis changing the world of techno and destroying the term genre forever after, these two make moves on the reg.  It seems only right that when they came together, they are, in every sense of the word, perfect.

This is like if that La Roux shit met that Skrillex guy I posted - and they had a baby. And then, meanwhile, that crazy Le Castle Vania stuff I had and the In For the Kill song met and had a baby. And by some miracle, those two babies met and fucked - this would the shit that they birthed.

Wow, this is the product of baby fucking.  SMASH GORDON PROMOTES BABY FUCKING!

West Coast Dubbin'

A long lost relative of mine sent me some songs last night so I could get a taste of how the do it in Cali.  Well, see for yourself.

Mixpod is on the side bar, comment on this post if you want specific tracks DL links!

Fresh Dub

Little Dubba Jonny here on this fine Thursday evening.  Mellow lyrics and some unreal drops make for a dub-classic.

The Neeks are back

The Neeks have been featured here on dB a few times before but they are back at it again with their new song called Forever Mine.  Sampling Drake's "Forever", this one makes for a SICK song and a MUST DOWNLOAD!

These are the guys who brought us Party.edu... possibly one of the best songs I have heard.  If you haven't heard it yet I included the link below, hit them both up, both keepers for sure.
